Account and global placeholders

A placeholder inserts a value into a text pattern. Text outside placeholders stays unchanged. The surrounding markers control encoding:

• *account[username]* inserts the value as-is.
• %account[username]% applies the encoding configured for the context, such as URL encoding when building a URL.

Placeholder	Value
*account[fieldName]*	The named field from the selected account's Account XML.
*global[fieldName]*	The named global provisioning value, when available.
*appName*	The application name, which may be localized.
*globalUsername*	The username used for the initial application sign-in. This may differ from the line username.

Values must be available in the app. An unknown placeholder is left unchanged, including its markers. Use ** to display a literal asterisk.
