Application Launch Process¶
This guide outlines the steps required to publish your white-label CloudSoftphone app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Prerequisites¶
To submit your apps to app stores, we need your help with the following:
1. Set Up Developer Accounts¶
Set up organization developer accounts for both Apple and Google under your company name.
2. Create Shared Accounts¶
Create an Apple ID/Google account which you will share with us, and grant it access to your organization project. These accounts will be used for accessing your organization project and publishing purposes.
3. Use a Company Email Domain¶
Ensure the email domain associated with the shared account from step 2 is directly linked to the organization. For instance, if the company name is Example LTD with the website www.exampledomain.com, the email address could be something like:
appsupport@exampledomain.comapplicationsupport@exampledomain.comapp@exampledomain.comdeveloper@exampledomain.comadmin@exampledomain.com
Warning
Emails that explicitly mention Acrobits (e.g., acrobits@exampledomain.com) are to be avoided.
4. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)¶
If two-factor authentication is enabled on these accounts, add one of our trusted numbers. This can be arranged during an online meeting with our team.
5. Avoid Duplicate Apps¶
Avoid publishing multiple apps with the same purpose under the same developer project (e.g., multiple calling applications).
6. Website Requirements¶
Ensure the website listed for the application belongs to your organization's domain and loads without errors. Apple requires a functional website in order to approve the app.
7. Required URLs¶
Ensure the Privacy Policy URL, Support URL, and Product URL are accessible from the main website. The Product URL should properly display the application with a detailed description.
8. Customize App Design¶
Customize the app design so it is visually distinct from the default CloudSoftphone branding. Apple may reject apps that look too similar to existing ones. Our designer can assist with customizing colors, icons, logos, keypad layout, SIP and settings buttons, and tab bar icons.
9. Provide Test Accounts¶
Provide 2 SIP usernames with SIP passwords and extensions for either Apple or Google so we can prepare special test accounts for review. If your app will be available on both the Apple and Google platforms, 4 different SIP credentials will be required (2 for each platform). These test accounts should be functional from anywhere in the world.
Submission¶
10. Submit for Review¶
Click Submit for Review in your application dashboard on the Cloud Softphone portal. Once your app is approved, make it live and click the Release to Store button next to your new live builds.
11. Post-Submission¶
If anything is needed from you after clicking Release to Store, you will be informed by the support team in the App Update ticket. You will also be notified about the progress and once your app is submitted on the App Store/Google Play.
Timeline¶
Once everything is set up and released to store, it may take between 5 to 10 days before your app is available on both Apple and Play Stores. This timeline is driven by each store's review process. Our release team will monitor the submissions, respond to any questions from Apple or Google, and keep you updated throughout.
